Yes I agree!!!! A lot of girls that read seventeen magazine are younger than seventeen and the stuff they put in there is mainly stuff that would interest older girls and pertains to them anyway, girls who probably dont care about seventeen anymore anyway.

It's true that a lot of younger girls do read Seventeen and that parts might be a little shocking to them. But that's why they have a table of contents and a little disclaimer that says it may upset people.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. What it provides is an outlet to discuss things that may be a little uncomfortable. For a lot of girls this is the only sex education they have. Which is a sad reality.

No. I'm a teenager and I read seventeen magazine. I find what they put in their magazine informative. My mom also skims it to see what I'm reading and she doesn't have a problem with anything in it. Girls today are being shown much more in movies, TV, and music. At least they have a reliable source like seventeen to help sort things out.

Yeah, it is, but i also think that Seventeen is trying to target a older audience. I think this because there are alot of College articles too. And Articles on how to get in a good college and what to major in. But YES i do think that Seventeen is getting graphic.

not really but it is a negative influence by giving the impression that guys who are good-looking are the ones that they should go out with and to judge by looks rather than personality.
No one of the guys in those magazines is less than average in looks

no i think its just informative and young girls dont feel comfortable asking their parents about these things without them sending you to a mentil institution or think your a perv. I know what your talking about though with the pics or vaginas with genital herpes or whatever but girls need to know what too look for. And plus parents should look at the mag before theior kid buys it anyway.
