Well done, 'dri'... This is a superb question straight on point... The sooner we face the situation as it is and stop lying to ourselves, the sooner... well you know the rest...
You have to learn how to appreciate and understand the English national team. In the whole wide world of football the English national team is a PUZZLE... Nobody else can beat them on this... How can a bunch of super stars when playing at club level then come together and play like clowns as the national team ?! If you can answer that question, you might as well have the job of English manager. Why do you think Scholari refused the position ? Because the press introduded in his personal life ? If you believe that one... Because he values his reputation, that's why !... He knew he would never be able to make the English team world champions. To me, the English team players are a puzzle. Separate them, they are super bring them together and they form the comedy group you seem to see each time they play... They lost that friendly with Denmark by 4 goals a month ago,... remember that one ? Appreciate and enjoy England while they last in the W.Cup... for they won't last long. For God's sake they are the super stars of Real Madrid, of Chelsea etc etc... and then look at that embarassing display against Paraguay and today against Trin and Tobago... a country the size of... Barnet (north London) and players of the quality of Barnet FC ? I remain puzzled !!!

Pretty much. There shouldn't be excuses. Although anything can happen in soccer, England has a team that should have killed both Trinidad and Tobago and Paraguay.

It would appear so. They are defiantly not playing to potential. In that respect they remind me of the Italians of the last few world cups. They might get it together. Today's game was slammed by commentators I've seen.

no they're not..they have good understandings with one another..the whole team is world class with or without rooney...but sadly owen is not really performing his best..joe cole is great but they need another striking force to team up with crouch..lampard and gerrard is awesome in assist and midfield..gerrard's goal against trin was superb....
