This was a question I had asked long before todays 2-0 defeat and the responses were mostly negative, sadly I don't see T&T getting 3 points against a South American team. But who knows, miracles never cease.

T & T still have a chance. If Sweden and Paraguay draw today (currently 0 - 0), that would leave Sweden with 2 pts, Paraguay with 1 and T& T with 1.
T&T would then have to beat Paraguay next match and move to 4 pts and hope that England beats or draws with Sweden which would leave Sweden with 2 or 3 points.

That will all depend on the English team with a Swedish coach not selling out to Sweden

Slim, but possible.

Right now, we have a tie game in the SWE-PAR game. If this remains a tie or Paraguay wins, that greatly helps their chances. Let's not forget the fact that Trinidad has its two toughest opponents out of the way and will face Paraguay in their last game. The other match is ENG-SWE, a match that England has a good chance of winning, another key to getting Trinidad into the Knockout stage.

They don't have control over their own destiny but the chance is there. Being latin american I am disgusted with this Paraguayan team and I think T&T have enough to defeat them. However, England has to beat Sweden for T&T to be able to qualify. England hasn't defeated Sweden in years and England isn't playing well lately, but I think England will finally improve against Sweden and will beat them. My predictions:

T&T 2, Paraguay 0
England 3, Sweden 1

Though they worked hard luck did not favour them .., we must mention a important factor that's thier will to fight till the end. Indeed they are worthy competetiors for the oppoenets of thier group.

It's a misfortune that they wont make it up.

They need to beat Paraguay, and it would help if either Paraguay beats Sweden today or if that match ends in a draw.

I think a lot of people underestimated T&T and didn't expect them to do this well so anything is possible for the Soca Warriors!

Nope, they did well considering. But really not much chance. The way they worked I'd love to see them advance though.
