An immediate relief would lie in taken out all files which have probably outlives their life and usefulness. if you're computer is slower internet wise look into DSL or a cable connection. If you already have either or check in2 scanning you're computer for viruses and also spyware and adware. These problems can really slow you down if u let them presist to eat at you're computer it may crash it. If you're computer is slow and the problem is not internet related you should try defraging you're hard drive or scan disk, this frees up space on you're computer for programs to run faster. Also deleting unused programs and documents also helps.

Do you create restore points?
If so , restore it as far back as you can go , then be careful of what is down loaded, and stored on it.
Also scan it for viruses, spam, trojans, spyware, and anything else.
