Yeah, I've always heard the name Alex as a cute nickname for girls. But their names were alexandra or alexis and i don't like those names. Alex for a girl is cute.
Luke for a boy is cool, and lucas sounds like something found in the human body. So just luke is totally awsome. Good choices

I like them both and I love the fact that it is LUKE not Lucas and ALEX not Alexis....I hate it when people name their kids something knowing that the will call them something else..like Lucas goes to Luke

They're nice names. You need to see how they sound with the last name, though. That's the trick.
