This happens to be a rather broad question with a very simple answer: There's technically never going to be " World Peace" simply because if the fact that there's so many contrasting opinions, views, and outlooks on life. However, if you happen to belong to a Christian-like sect--which I'm not affilated with--, there will be peace on earth that will be known as " The Rapture" or " The Second Coming." Hope this helps.

If there was peace, what could we look forward to in the afterlife? (Heaven, Valhalla, or any other form of cosmic consciousness you choose) Besides, the principalities and powers rely on war and unrest to keep the common folk in thrall.

war is a necessary evil. without it, there world would be completely overrun with the human population. also, a lot of wars are religion based and you will never get two religions to agree that their one God is the same God. there is also a need for land and resources. there's plenty of other reasons, but war is a necessary evil.
