In actual fact, mainstream psychology takes the approach that if one's religious beliefs are causing anxiety in relation to homosexuality - that the religious beliefs themselves need changing.
Religious based ex-gay ministries don't actually change anyone's sexual orientation. From what I've seen, all they manage to do is change sexual behaviour i.e. by convincing a homosexual to become celibate, and for a bisexual to restrict their activities to the opposite sex. A lot of people in ex-gay ministry suffer from depression.

There are therapies - usually called de-programming. Similar to de-programming someone who has been brain washed by the KGB in the good old days. Very difficult - sometimes the people have to be held against their will for a while.

You think that you need to change people because they don't think the same way as you do. You are arrogant and condescending. Why do you think that you are superior to everyone else in the world? Hitler tried to remove all those who disagreed with him. Look at what it got us. I for one still believe in the freedoms granted to us in this great country and I would never say that someone else needs to be changed (or killed as I've seen on some posts) because they disagree with me. What a boring place this would be if everyone thought exactly the way you do.

Actually, there is therapy for this affliction..it is called 'sanity.' I grew tired of Science Fiction years ago when I had to work too hard to suspend disbelief. Instead of saying things like this, why don't you concentrate on pity. They need all of it they can get. They are outcasts of the elite group their god has chosen...Gays! Their god gave gays better bodies, better hair, better clothes, better jobs, better money, better cars, better houses, better taste, more creativity, and the ability to dance! If you were a straight christian, you might be a little bitter too!

No, just don't react to them and don't let their condemning opinions bother you. It's really not worth the time you would waste.
