I hate Walmart. It's completely different since Sam Walton died. I used to love it, but now I avoid it.
The parking lots are so crowded and the stores are so big that you practically have to set aside an hour just to go buy a few items.
Prices are great, but most of the stuff they sell is of very low quality. In fact, I read an interesting story recently.. Walmart forces its vendors to drop the prices as much as they can. Walmart is very agressive about this. And many companies have responded by producing a product that is of lesser quality so that they can get the price down. Levi's jeans are a perfect example here. If you buy Levi's jeans at Walmart, you're not getting the same jeans you would get from a department store of a Levi's store. You're getting jeans that were cheaper for Levi's to produce so that Walmart could sell them for less.
You see quality problems with everything from the Deli products and produce to the crappy furniture, etc.
The employees, bless their hearts, are over worked and under paid. Did you know that Walmart says that over 2/3 of their employees are full time, but they define full time as > 28 hours a week. What the heck is that all about?

Walmarts actually COSTS local, state and federal governments money because what they pay out in taxes is less that welfare agencies pay to Walmart employees.
And then there's trade with China. There's to much.
I don't feel safe in some Walmart parking lots.
The list goes on and on.
I've gone back to using Publix for groceries (that's a local grocery story in Florida. Great produce and friendly service in super clean stores.) and other local vendors. I avoid Walmart whenever I can.

That is because your thinking and understanding has been limited by the fine Liberal education you've received.
I know your are lying about your claims, because I never see this at Wal-Mart stores. I've shopped at many and know many employees and your claims are LIES!!!
You are a Tape Recorder. You hear, record(in the small brain you have) and then play it back.
Socialism and Communism is not the great Panacea the Liberals claim. Just do some research and reading into these forms of Government.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, by telling you to do research and read. I know the Liberal education didn't teach you to read properly, therefore, your ability to understand and comprehend what you read is very limited. That's why your a TAPE RECORDER.
Your too uneducated to understand what I'm saying, so I won't waste anymore of my time with you.

I like Wal-mart because for our area they have the best prices with the best selection, usually. That's not to say I don't shop anywhere else. I always go for the best price especially on high dollar items. As far as the kids getting beat, well....I don't think Wal-mart has anything at all to do with that and personally I've seen quite a few kids in Wal-mart that needed it and didn't get it. And I don't think they have any more psycho workers than any other store.

I don't like Wal Mart that much either. I think thier prices are good and all, and it's a OK enviromnet, I just like to support the little man more than the huge company the basicly owns the US, and is almost using slave labor in China.
The sourse does not have to do with the question, but check it out:

I'm not fond of the retail giant either. The nearest one to me put all the mom and pop shops out of business. They routinely do not have items that they claim to stock, and their many (not all) of their employees are lacking in even basic customer service skill. I refuse to go there at all between November and February, the store atmosphere is that of a cattle car, peoples patienceand manners seem to disappear at the sight of a sale price. Shop online.

Wal-Mart sells lower end product, not so many brand name items, or spendy items from a brand name vendor. So the deals look great. Their major attraction is being open 24 hours a day in most locations.

I don't link Wal-Mart either, I agree they are not the cheapest .. what they do is they have few common item at lower price and rest at higher price or has dollar days quality. besides that customer service sucks. hard to find department associates and they hardly has any knowledge about products.

Walmart is a great place to get everything you need..
a combo of a bunch of things makes it nice..
When I travel, walmart is a great place for me to stop.
Because I know where to go and what to get.
Maybe you should try going to a different walmart if the one you go to is so unpleasant!

They buy in bulk and prices on most items are lower than other stores. I shop wherever has the best prices on items I am looking for at any given time.
