first response is the worst test on the market as far as early detection!

http://www.pinelandpress.com/faq/hpt.html tells you better test than first response

its likely you are not pregnant but test again in a few days if still no period then schedule a Dr appt

Did you do an ovulation predictor to know exactly when you were ovulating? Your late period certainly could indicate pregnancy or it could be due to the stress of wondering if you're pregnant. I would wait til your period is 1 week late and take another test. If it's still negative then I'd call my dr and see if he can schedule you a blood test. If that's negative then I would schedule an appt with your dr to see if you can figure out why your period stil hasn't started. I'm doing the same thing right now! 2 weeks late, blood test was negative so now I'm waiting another week and if I'm still late I'll have another blood test and if it's still negative then an US, so I totaly understand what you're going through! Good Luck!

It may be possible. What you need to do is call your doctor and have a blood hCG test done. That will be the most accurate way to tell if you are pregnant, because it is still quite early for a urine test. If you want to wait another 2 weeks and re-try a urine test, you could do that too (in case you don't want other people to know you are pregnant yet). Good Luck!!

It's possible you may be. sometimes it takes longer for the HCG hormone to be at a detectable level in some women. Take a test once a week for the next week, see what happens, or if you really want to know call your Doctor and have him/her do a blood test to determine a more accurate result. Good luck.

You could be pregnant... or you could be stressing about being pregnant... stress can make your peroid late. I would wait a week and test again, if that still says no then call your dr. and get a blood test or an exam and see if she can see whats going on.

Those darn HPT are pretty accurate. They were always bang on for me. Just like the comercial says. Sometimes we want it SSOOOOO bad, but the tests don't lie.
