My red/brown husky keeps running away when he gets loose from the chain outside we tie him to to keep him from running when "do his business". The chain is heavy (but he seems to be fine with it) and we hook it to his collar. Somehow, whether it's unhooking the chain, getting his collar off, or somehow breaking the chain, he gets away and it takes us hours to catch him. This is like the 70th time this week and we've gotten to the point where if he runs, we wait until he's close enough to the house to catch him. PLEASE HELP!!!! Serious answers will be accepted, all other will be reported.

I walk him everyday, I don't have a fence and have no intention of getting one, he always runs around the neighborhood and into my creek, I'm not taking him to obidience class because I don't have enough money, and my parents won't give me any (as far as I know) and last this is a dog that can get shocked by barbed wire while eating chocolate cake and not get hurt or killed.

Find out how he gets out and fix it. For example, if he jumps the fence, get a taller one. If he digs under it, get a new one put in that goes deeper underground. If you don't have a fence, get one. Also try moving chairs or other things away from the fence that he could possibly be using to help get over. There's also chains out there with better clips that he won't be able to get undone. Good luck!

I would first suggest some obedience classes. Most are taught in you local pet stores. This alone may help. Second if the Husky is a mail he may be smelling a female in heat causing this running. Might check out where he running too. Last a chain is no answer. He may also be running because he simply isn't getting enough exercise. You might try walking him more. You might also want to ditch the chain and get a nice hidden electrical fence. The type he can't see, and that gives the dog a small shock. These seem to work out well. For the most part examine the situation better, it might help you determine why he is running.

Seriously...is he neutered? If not, that could be part of your problem. If money is a problem- check into a program that helps with the cost or even does it for free. I know like my local animal shelter helps out. So check into it. Have you considered an underground fence? They work really good. It creates a barrier without an actual fence & the dog wears a special collar....if he tries to pass the barrier he gets a little shock. It doesn't hurt him. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

Have you tried talking to a vet? There maybe drugs that can keep him calm. Try talking sense into him. You will be surprised he may hear you. Is he constantly in heat? If you leave him to roam, you think he will come back? If so, rest and wait for him to come home. Get the correct collar size in thickness as well as length. Put his name and your address on a tag on his collar and let him roam. If you feel aprehensive about this put him in a secure room/space inside the house when you are not at home. As soon as you get home release him. If he harasses the neighbors, your taxes will go up in some parts of the country and you may need to send him to the pound.

I'm going to count on its a small puppy. For something intent they have a tendency to bark rather dangerous, however it IS feasible to quit them, or no less than get them to minimize. My pal has a few form of terrior (its the equal variety that used to be within the wizard of ounces) and he used to be competent to relatively minimize on his mothers puppies consistent barkging. The most important factor you ought to do, something you do, is be regular. Do you consider this individual shall be equipped of that? Well what my pal did used to be evertime the puppy might bark he'd snap at her, inform her in a organization tone to hush, and supply her a appear. It took a month or in an effort to relatively see outcome, however now, if she even begins to bark, you simply ought to snap your arms at her and he or she stops. Does the puppy have a precise cause? I recognize proscribing my peers puppies entry to watching out home windows helped. If ppl running via trouble the puppy, and she will see out the window check out making it more difficult for it to get to the window. Unfortunatly puppies have GREAT listening to, so if it simply barks on the sound of ppl.... then this would possibly not paintings. I have heard ppl declare that puppy whistles paintings. I have on no account used one, so I are not able to say for definite. But they're very low cost. Just have the girl blow the whistle at any time when the puppy barks. Maybe the girl would check out getting a puppy running shoes support? If cost is an alternative, possibly your self and the opposite citizens would chip in? On a part notice. Many towns have legislation in opposition to puppies barking consistently. If you real desire this girl to preserve her puppy, i might attempt to support her discover a technique to hush it up speedily. Different places have distinct legislation, however in a few occasions a barking puppy may also be positioned to sleep. I understand it sounds harsh, however it might probably occur. Good success
