absublutely. relationships fall apart for various reasons but trust is one of the key ingredients to a succressful relationship. When trust is gone only time and patience will resurrect it. Deep understanding, concern and respect for one another will also have to be reinforced.

Relationships fall apart for many reasons. Betrayal in one form or another probably does constitute the large part of break-ups.
In my opinion, no, trust can never be totally resurrected. There is such a thing as forgiveness and giving someone another chance, but the total, pure, "unadulterated" trust will never be there 100% again. "To err is human, to forgive, divine" but always be on the lookout for another disappointment!

Lack of trust is definitely one of the key reasons why relationships fail. From experience I have found that it underpins evrything else in a relationship-love, communication, intimacy. So it is a big contributing factor.
The good thing is, trust CAN be resurrected. But it takes time and patience, effort, love and most importantly the willingness to regain what you had.

I don't believe that trust can return 100%. Other reasons for relationships falling apart? One of the main ones is the gradual on-set of taking each other for granted leading to loss of mutual respect. You've got to be friends above all. Oh, and great sex is pretty important too!!

Nice to see your serious side..all my attempts at being in earnest about such things with the person I love best came to nothing. Its like Humpty Dumpty..all the wishing in the world won't put a busted egg back together...at least in my case..also love best may be a bit of a stretch after many years of separation.

Also COMMUNICATION. Communication can be another deal breaker.
