the chicken because god could make a chicken appear but if there was no chicken and just an egg the egg wouldn't hatch right because a chicken would have to sit on it.

The Chicken would have to be around to lay the egg, but however, the chicken had to come from somewhere. Is there a never ending cycle of chickens hatching from eggs, laid by chickens? Can a chicken hatch from it's own egg? How can you people say God didn't make eggs, and that he made chickens, when you weren't there? God could have made the egg first, and then made a chicken to guard it, did you ever think of that? Or God could've made a rooster first. Answer that one, which came first the chicken, the egg, or the rooster? What if chickens didn't exist? Would we ask if turkeys came first? Either way you look at it, I vote the egg, because chickens aren't the only animals that lay eggs, and for some reason I highly doubt that God made the chicken before every other living thing.

Actually this has a real answer. According to the book "Random Kinds of Factness: 1001 (or so) Absolutely True Tidbits About (mostly) Everything" by Erin Barrett and Jack Mingo the egg came first.

According to their research chickens evolved from early Indochina birds called red jungle fowl. Mutations in the jungle fowls eggs produced things more like chickens...these bred with other bird causing more mutations producing todays chicken.

So the eggs have it!

I say the chicken first, because without the chicken, how would the little chick from the egg survive, in fact, how would the egg hatch without a guardian, for example, a chicken.

Stop asking- the chicken was created by God, then the chicken brought forth an egg.

quantum physics allows for simultaneous existence - but if you ask me, a whole bunch of eggs developed first, then evolved into the modern day chicken.
