It's very simple, when it doesn't rain much you water your grass, when it rain often you don't.

I sometimes wish it rain'd every other day in Georgia, it sure would save on the water bill.....but I live North Georgia and I only water the grass if it doesnt rain for a week....

March through October is the general growing season for grass in your area. The same time that swimming pools are used. I lived in Columbus for a while....
