You can purchase Febreeze from your local discount store, like Walmart or Kmart, or even the grocery store or dollar store. It should take the smell right out.

Vinegar works really well for this. If it's cloth, like your couch, chair, etc, put some vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz the item. If it's wood, use vinegar on a rag and wipe it down. Then put an open bowl with vinegar in it somewhere on the floor nearby. Leave it for a week.

Vinegar on a rag and wipe everything down. also waft damp vinegar rag thru house. cheaper than air fresheners. half hour later no smells

Shampoo it! Also, put baking soda in your carpet, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then vacuum it up.
