There are a lot of issues with using a program to try and clean your registry. Make sure it doesnt delete anything from the HKEY LOCAL Software Windows NT folder. You dont want to mess up anything that will screw up your Windows.
If there is a program that you dont recognize that shows up on the ccleaner software, then its safe to delete it.
I think there are better programs out there that will tell you which registry cleanups are risky and which is safe to delete. You should make sure ccleaner has the ability to distinguish between risky registry deletes and the ones that are safe to delete.
