When blood come out of your vagina, that is your period. It is usually spotty the first few times, then it gushes every month for the rest of your life. Don't be in such a hurry! :)

Don't worry just let mother nature take its course...and it's cramps...not craps...two completely different things. Usually a little pain around where your ovaries are located is a sign of things to come. Also a little tenderness in the breast. Don't worry about when you start because after a few years of having it you will be wondering What Was I Thinking...It becomes a hassle at times. But never the less we ladies are blessed it is the onset of becoming a woman. Just don't be in such a hurry...it will happen soon enough. Hope this helped..Stay innocent!

Before your period: You'll probably feel moody and and emotional. You may look bloated, and most likely get cramps on your lower belly and back. You might get discharge and your boobs will probably look bigger. Do you have any of the above signs as well? 12 is the average age to get your period, so it could very possible mean that you will get your period in a couple of days.

I didn't have mine till iw as 13. It's different for every girl. The cramping could just be indigestion. You will only know for sure when you start bleeding. It will look brown to begin with and not very heavy.

Sounds like it's probably coming soon.
I never had any cramps or anything, but I guess I spotted a little when I was 11 & had no idea for several months, so if you cramp & don't see anything dramatic, that's probably what's happening.

Well, when I was in 5th grade I had BAD cramps for a while, but I didn't get my period until 7th grade. There's no way to really tell, any other signs?

i didnt start mine until i was 13 but had cramps for a long time before then. trust me, this is not something to rush. once you get it, it wont go away until menopause, and can be a pain in the butt

I was 13 when I started. If you have been cramping for a few days, it is probably time. If it has been a few weeks, I would see a doctor.
