I was thinking about trying it, but I don't know how they land.

down here in the Islands, you launch from the back deck of a power boat; there's a 1000 foot long line attached to the parasail harness so you don't go away away away on the breeze while they tow you around....when you come in they winch you down and you land on the deck again; rarely if ever do you end up in the water

I have been para-sailing before. In my case you sit on the back of a boat for take off, and you land the same way. I am guessing if you have a take off from land, then they might still land you in the boat because where else could you land?
