There are not any page descriptions either. But this only happens on some of my web pages.

I'm not seeing what you're seeing evidently. Give me a specific page and let me know what you are expecting to see that's not there, and what you're seeing that is not what you are expecting.

The title that is displayed is a setting in the header of the web page. If you are using Front Page, for example, you would click on your page and go into the page properties. You will see a box there for setting the web pages title. Whatever program you are using should have the same ability somewhere.
