I'm not asking you to give me reasons why the Cubs suck. I'm asking you to give reasons why another team is more unlucky than the Cubs.

For all you people who are saying it is because the Cubs don't have talent or they have bad management, I'm not talking about the 2006 season. Or the 2005 season. In 2003, they were up 3-2 coming back to Chicago with 2 of the best pitchers in the National League IN 2003 starting those games. Prior was cruising and then they had two unfortunate events that changed the whole game. Then in Game 7, they got out to an early lead and Wood let the Florida offense go nuts. These were two very uncharacteristic starts for Wood and Prior. That is why I believe they are unlucky. Maybe not the most unlucky team in all of sports, but you can't deny the fact that they are unlucky.

well i cant help you there becuz the fact of the matter is, there is NO team more unlucky than the cubs.
But this year, evn luck has to take a back seat to the lack of talent this team has, to put in another way, this teams suckiness has finally caught up to its unluckiness and combined to form some type of UBER-DISASTROUS-SUCKY-UNLUCKY team.

As a lifelong Cubs fan I have to say many thing's haevn't gone our way. I do have to agree with our poor management especially after the Tribune Co. bought the team from the Wrigley's about 25 years ago. It's time for new ownership someone who cares about winning and not simply free loading off of Wrigley Fields popularity. If the Cubs got the right owner then they have a shot at being America's Team. Why are the Yankees so renouned? Because they're all about winning. It's about time we bring that to Chicago. The cubs are the unluckiest team in sports becuase we've been stuck with a bunch of business men who could care less about winning. They traded Greg Maddux for God's sake...

I don't think "luck" has anything to do with it. The point is that the Cubs just do not have the talent and skills level of their opponents. They need to play as a TEAM and get over the Sammy Sosa era where he was adulated and others received no credit for whatever success the Cubs had. A team makes its own "luck" with selfless playing and with a team attitude that says we are a TEAM. The Cubs still don't get it and will be second rate until they do. Attitude and skill, my friend, not "luck"!!

The Cubs don't have bad luck. They have bad management and ownership. They draft badly. They scout badly. They trade badly.
The Boston Red Sox had bad luck. For all intents and purposes they should have won a in 1971, 1986 and 2003.
They were just victims of horrible breaks each time.

I'll have to say the worst luck in all of team sports is the Phillies. they've only won 1 title since 1883. thats a long time to be playing with just one title.

the cubs don't suck. they are cursed. 1945 billygoat curse. yeah the bo sox were cursed too. they broke it. so will the cubs after 80 years of having the curse like boston.
