Stephen King is the King, though Peter Straub's Ghost Story is a classic.
I also enjoyed The Talisman by both King and Straub.
They also did the sequel Black House. I haven't got thru it yet because I'll need to read The Talisman over first to remember what's going on. (I do remember flippin from present to past)

I've never heard of peter strub but i like dean koontz and stephen king. Though some of Kings work is a bit out there (and sometimes confusing to me.)

I LOVE Dean Koontz's writing. I'm not a big fan of Stephen Kings and never heard of the other guy.

I think you meant Peter Straub, right? Of the 3 Stephen King is definitely the most prolific, but he has his weak moments. I gave up trying to read all of King's work when it became a blur. Dean Koontz is consistent. He's my favorite.

Tough choice! I think I'd go with Dean Koontz right now. His books have been more interesting lately. The Dark Tower and The Cell of King's were just too hard to get into.

I personally like Dean Koontz the best. I am always reading his books. i do like Stephen Kings stuff, but I love dean koontz.
