what cities in washington are considered a part of washington state?

A person on here said he was looking for a kitten for his daughters birthday friday, in Washington State due to the death of her cat. I was under the obviously mistaken impression that he was referring to a specific section of Washington. I am from the south and not familiar at all with the Washington area.

not one of the above or all the above--that's a multitude. that's a "District" of the USA, so like a territory it has some self governance yet is largely less than the administration of Congress. voters of DC are not getting representation contained in the Senate, and easily one representative contained in the domicile (i'm not positive if that rep is allowed to vote). that's likewise a city--it elects a mayor and council and makes rules for itself. particular parts of the city, in spite of the undeniable fact that, do not fall less than the administration of DC authorities--federal parts, the monuments on the Mall, etc are monitored with assistance from the Capitol Police and Congress. 'Taxation without representation' is a motto that looks on DC license plates therefore. they have little or no say contained in the authorities that taxes them and in a large number of procedures governs them.
