He got screwed over by Bush. The poor guy!! The man's a true patriot. They made him look like a fool in front of the whole world. Powell testified to the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee, that the sources who provided much of the information in his February 2003 UN presentation were "wrong" and that it was "unlikely" that any stockpiles of WMDs would be found. Powell said this was a "blot" on his record, "it will always be a part of my record. It was painful. It's painful now.

Powell was the Field Commander for the first Gulf War, the one we won. To say Bush appointed him to Secretary of State just because of his skin color is to say Bush isn't choosing the right people to help run this country.

I like him. If there ever was a good Republican in this world, it's gotta be him. Too bad he's not running for President anytime soon -- he'd have my vote for sure.
