Yes! Why? Because it has the 4 basic food groups.
Milk group-Ricotta/cottege cheese and mozzarella cheese
Vegetable group-Tomatoes,garlic cloves and onions
Meat group-Ground beef,sausage and or lamb
Bread/Cereal group-Lasagna noodles
Food fit for the Gods and for all us mortals who love the taste of a great dish called Lasagna.

I'd prefer a big juicy meatball to lasagna, but thats just as far as Italian food goes.
