we probably wont figure it out any time soon. at least not in hawking's lifetime. and to all you religious people - the person asking this question clearly is not interested in hearing that GOD created the universe and that we should just stop exploring the world. you should just stop answering questions in the science section all together if you are going to be like that.

I marvel at what we're beginning to find out in modern physics which is helping us to pose therories-but the complexity of how the universal laws work ...I don't know if that understanding is going to be ours for a very long time.
