I hate to brake it to you but my wife was full term (2 weeks over actually) , 2cm dilated and she was in labor for 26 hours. The bad part is she never dilated further so after 26 hours of hard labor they had to take the baby w/ Cesarean anyway.

Her and the baby turned out fine though, and no Castor oil did not work.

I think if there were a sure fire way to make you go into labor every woman on earth would know about it by now.

It will be over soon, good luck!

i replaced into 2 cm dilated for style of a week in the previous giving delivery to my son at 36 a million/2 weeks. you may bypass longer or shorter. in case you commence having contractions that are everyday and 5 minutes aside or have your water damage, then call the medical specialist with out delay. once you're in not straight forward paintings, the cervix dilates particularly right now. After my water broke, i replaced into lower than 5 cm dilated and it went as a lot as totally dilated interior some hours. proper this second, you nevertheless prefer to provide the toddler some better time, so in case you sense some contractions, attempt putting your ft up for a little while and drink some water.

There is really no for-sure way to make yourself go into labor. I was 2 cm dilated with my daughter head down and dropping into my pelvic cavity from 8 months until I was induced at 2 weeks overdue. I would not recommend drinking castor oil, it tastes nasty and gives you relay bad diarrhea. I'm sure your dr can recommend a safe laxative for the constipation. Oh and my husband and I had so much sex trying to induce my labor that he actually didn't mind the break after our daughter was born, LOL. If there were truly a way to induce your own labor I'm sure it would be all the net by now but there's not, sorry :( Good Luck!

It is normal to be 2-3cm dilated in the last couple of weeks. I tried castor oil and it never worked for me, it also tasted terrible. I noticed a couple of comments about having sex. Apparently that does work for some people, I have heard that. Best thing is to let nature take its course, your baby will come when it is good and ready and not before.

I told my friend to drink some Castor oil and to eat some goat cheese with ice cream. Three hours later she started going into labor, but be careful when you do that cause you ain't suppose to take to much other wise it'll make you really loose and you'll end up squirting the doctor

One word of caution on Caster oil....your baby "could" have a bowel movement inside you.Nothing uncommon but the thought of him/her still using the, now poopy amniotic, fluid seems not worth the risk. I have heard there is a safe amount though I don't know it.

I'm at 4cm (for the last week!) today the doc agreed mowing the lawn followed by some great sex and I better have my bags packed and ready. Just exercise and an orgasm or two dear,no need for chemicals.

Good luck and many congrats!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard castor oil will work, or having sex, or walking or eating spicy foods

Maybe if you try some of those - I don't know though- I went a week early so I didn't have to do anything like that

Do not have sex or you could risk infection to your baby, don't use the castor oil it doesn't work, If you have constpation you can take Metamucil and it will not harm you or the baby. If you are having too much pain talk to your doctor's nurse. Get some sleep beacause after the baby is born, you are going to be exausted. Or if you are not tired, go shopping and go get some ice cream!

I am 2 cm and full term also. Although I am really excited and feel fully ready to have the baby, I am taking these last few days or more to rest, because I know I'm going to miss resting once the baby gets here.

I was 2 CM dilated for a whole week, then one morning it was time to go to the hospital. You should let nature take it's course, you wouldn't want to harm your unborn child. I know you want it out of you realllyyy bad but you have to have patients. If you aren't restricted to anything why wont you take a long walk, that may help.
