Wow, tough question.
1) Bill Russell. He dominated the game from a defensive standpoint. He blocked shots, rebounded, and was the captain of the Boston Celtics during their run of 13 consecutive championships.
2) Michael Jordan. Probably the best player ever. He could over power you, use his speed to get by you, finesse you into biting on his jukes and fakes. He is probably the most competitive player in the history of the game, is one of the originators of high flying explosive dunks.
3) Oscar "the Big O" Robertson. In my opinion the greatest point guard ever. Averaged a triple double for his career. Great player.
4) Larry Bird. i had to throw in a white guy. What else can you say about the guy. Larry Bird is classic. Plus he's from French Lick Indiana.
5) Ervin "Magic" Johnson The first big man to play the point. He could ply every position on the floor. Filled in for Kareem when he was hurt. Hit many big shots, and started the Prime Time Era in LA.
