Moses' half brother....Pharoah of Egypt

An extraordinarily popular name in late New Kingdom Egypt, especially for the kings of the 19th and 20th Dynasties. The most famous Ramses is probably Ramses II who is thought to have been the king of Egypt during the Exodus related in the Biblical texts. He considered himself a great warrior - how accurate that depiction is depends upon how one interprets the conflicting versions of the battle of Qadesh with the Hittites. He was one of the most prolific builders or co-opters of other royal buildings in Egyptian history - erecting or recarving for himself numerous monuments throughout Egypt and Nubia, including the famous temple at Abu Simbel.

In total, there were 11 kings bearing the name "Ramses." Most of them modelled their throne names after Rameses II as did some even later kings of Egypt in the hope of being as successful, long-lived, and famous as Ramses II.

Ramses did not have a pyramid constructed, however - royal pyramid construction in Egypt had ceased by that point.

Ramses II, his father, sons, and most of his successors in the New Kingdom were all buried in rock-cut tombs in the Valley of the Kings on the west bank of the Nile at ancient Thebes/modern Luxor.

Depends on which ramsses, or ramses that you are looking for. Ramses became pharoah after Tut died. Ramses grandson was the one known as Ramses the great or Ramses II.

Ramesses (also commonly spelled "Ramses," pronounced [ˈræm.siz] or "Rameses," [ˈræ.mə.siz]) is the name conventionally given in English transliteration to eleven Egyptian pharaohs of the later New Kingdom period. The name essentially translates as "Born of the sun-god Re".
