I took the GRE in January of this year to get admitted into Grad school. I would advise you to focus on studying for the vocabulary section. Let me tell you, you need a good book for vocabulary. I only had a few weeks to study for this thing, so I was beyond stressed. I found studying the prefixes of words to be very helpful. You will come across some words on the test that you don't even think would qualify for a word. If you know what the prefix means, you can eliminate most of the answers and give yourself a better chance of being right. I did not find one single book that was great. Instead, I bought a book for vocabulary and another book for general information on the layout and test taking tips for the GRE. This book also provided sample questions from retired GRE tests so you could practice. Also, when you register for the GRE, they will send you a disk that you can use. It has sample questions that you can practice with. Good Luck!

I guarantee that your competition is working with Kaplan. Spend the money and do it right the first time.
