Your wish is my command...

Aquarius is one of the twelve signs of the Zodiac, a human invention that purports to be able to glean something useful about the characteristics of a person, or about his/her destiny from knowledge of nothing but the time of birth. While it can be a fun diversion, it is a sad state of affairs that so many people use it as some kind of guidance, and a sad comment on the public's knowledge of science.

Astrology is not science. Astrology is not logical or rational. It has very little basis in fact, and it is given *far* too much credibility in this day and age.

It IS *useful*, however. It serves as an excuse for unmotivated or careless people to relinquish responsibility for their actions. This allows allows them to watch their life and their world (and the rest of ours') deteriorate around them, while they absolve themselves from doing anything to change it for the better.

Astrology as anything but an amusement -- particularly as a wise guide -- is not only a pathetic waste of time and money, but a *danger* in the same way that rumors, myths, urban legends, chain mails, irresponsible news reporting and an uneducated public are dangers... all helping to make the world a *worse* place.

Since this is 2006, not 1006, or 2000 BC, it should amaze and frighten a reasonable person that so many people put so much time and mental energy into a pseudoscience which was born out of our ancestors' understandable ignorance of their world and the strange objects in the sky.

Now that we know those objects are stars like our sun and worlds like our earth, and that they couldn't possibly exert any influence over our destiny simply because one or the other was visible at the time of our birth... I simply shake my head, sigh, and fear for the world that's filled with such primitive beliefs.

Based on the context of your question, I rather doubt I'll be seeing "best answer" attached here. I just felt the overwhelming urge to inject some RATIONALITY here.

Have a nice day.
