Don't be scared, all of the other freshmen are in the same boat as you. However, there are a few steps you can take in advance to ensure a more enjoyable experience.
1. Go to orientation. That's a great time to learn where your classes are and meet new people.
2. Even after orientation, go find your classes by yourself, just to make sure you know where they are.
3. Get involved asap. This is also a great way to meet people.
4. I'm not sure how close to home you are going to be, but most college advisors suggest not going home for the first month or so in order to avoid severe cases of homesickness. The more you stay on campus, the more likely it is you will get to know people and able to have fun. I do love my family, but once I got to college, I never once visited home except vacations when I HAD to leave campus. College life was awesome!

Feelings of anxiety are natural when going into a new situation. But remember, the entire Freshman class is experiencing the identical thing, so you're really not a complete loner. Unless you count being alone with probably a few hundred other newbies. Feeling uncertain is fine, but scared? No. Save scared for the big, dangerous stuff. Inside of a day, it'll feel like home, and you'll be busy chatting with tons of other kids from all over, enjoying the heck out of yourself. It's fun, girl! Life is one new experience after another - don't waste it by going through it feeling scared. That's just what life is, after all. Good luck, and do well in your studies. After all, this is all about preparing to succeed in the rest of your life. Embrace it - gobble it up - it's a really fun time of life.

Don't be scared! This is a big adventure!! you'll get an orientation before you start college, that will introduce you to how things work and take your time to walk around the campus with maps and learn your way around.
get involved in student groups or sports, or study groups, and you'll make friends pretty quickly. Remember, all the freshmen you meet are going to be going through the same exciting and confusing time as you are, so reach out and say HI to people and meet them yourself.
College was a GREAT time in my life!! You'll love it...

You don't have anything to worry about...Fullerton is a nice campus and they have campus directories...people are not as mean as they seem...just look for someone who looks like they have been there for a while and ask for help...don't be afraid to be by yourself on the first day...you are probably not going to spend your entire day in class anyway and you will meet people...don't worry I still get nervous on the first day of class and I have been in college for 4 years now...so don't even trip its normal to be nervous...just don't be afraid to ask for help...its better to show up late then not at all...

Take a deep breath. It will be fine. You will do fine. Familiarize yourself with the campus a little before you go. Go to their website and use the resources there. Looking at a map of the campus is especially helpful. See if they have any students or alums who can help tell you about the "ins and outs" before you get there. Good luck!

Probably not. First off, you'll likely be living in a dormitory ... that means roommates. Roommates means people that are as nervous about you as you are of them. Chances are good that you'll get along well, or at least be able to use them for networking purposes. Otherwise, join clubs or groups. Nothing brings people together like common interest.
Insofar as not being able to find your classes ... you get a list in advance. Plan your routes in advance.
Enjoy college, I wish I had gone.

don't be scared, just prepare yourself. Make sure that you go and find the buldings and classrooms you are going to need the day or two before you have classes, so you know where to g owhen you actually need to be there. the first few days will be overwheling, but you'll be fine after that.

Don't worry. There will be lots of freshman just like you who don't know their way around or any of the other people either. They will have guides on campus to help you. They will also have mixers and social events so that everyone can get acquainted. You will meet lots of kids in your dorm, too. It will be fun. Look forward to it.

Yeah, that's a tough one, and you're going to have to bite the bullet and talk to people. Give them a chance to get to know you - don't wait for them to start the conversation.
Best part of the deal is you're a girl, and just about any guy will talk to just about any girl for just about as long as she wants to talk.
Don't be shy. Make it a point to talk to at least 2 people in each class each day.
