Who is the most deserving celebrity of the title "star"? Why?

We know the most undeserving are Jessica Simspon, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, etc. but who is really worthy of the title of 'Star'?

Jim Carrey. That guy can act. Granted, Ace Ventura and Cable guy were only OK. But once hollywood figured out how to write for his style of comedy, his career took right off and his movies are now great.

I would say Michael J. Fox because in the face of the disease he has (Parkinson's Disease), he's shown courage, grace and dignity. He's lent his name and his star power to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation in the hopes of finding a cure.

I too, will also say Montel Williams. Montel, too, has a debilitating disease (MS). He too has shown the same things as Michael J. Fox, (courage, grace and dignity).

i agree with all of those you listed, not stars, just famous, or infamous.....Keven Spacey, Chirstopher Walken, Sean Connery, they are stars....an actor or actress who is versatile is a star....
