There have been many horrific moments blighting the world history of man -the plague that nearly destroyed Europe and of course the Jews in concentration camps of Germany would probably top that list of historical moments. But there are atrocities that are going on in the world right now affecting more people than ever because the population is so great. Just because some of the world is living well doesn't mean there is not genocide, starvation and war happening right this second involving a greater number of people than ever. It is the year 2006-and we haven't wiped out THOSE horrific atrocities. So you tell ME.

I guess that is a matter of perspective, the WTC definitely comes to mind, as does the bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Pearl Harbor. I am sure the people who were in the Tsunami or Katrina would say that was the worse, and what about the earthquake in California during the World Series back about 15 years ago, or D-Day.
There is not one. There is many!
