I do not believe that a world as beautiful and ordered as we have could possibly come about by chance. If you take all the pieces of a watch, stick them in your pocket, and jump around for a few billion years, I can guarantee you you won't have a spontaneous explosion in your pocket and pull out a running watch. And creation is so much more complex than a watch.

Ok, quick rundown. Science cannot exist without the world because science is based on empirical evidence in the world. Therefore, no world, no evidence, no science. Therefore, science could not create something that it needs to exist. God needs no pre-existing thing in order to exist. God just is and has always been. Therefore, to me, the only logical possibility is that God had to create the earth, not science.
As far as evolution, it is a load of crap basically. All that the "scientists" do when they talk about it or argue about it is nothing more than smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that they have no real evidence. I have never seen an evolutionist win an intellectual debate against any form of Creationism or Intelligent Design. They simply do not have the proof they need to support their points. So no, I do not believe in evolution. Not because it is against scripture in some ways, but because it is a sorely unproven theory that has failed time and time again to be proven or even come close to be proven. Even by scientists' terms, a theory that has gone this long without solid proof would have been tossed out. But they hold on to that theory because they can't think of anything else to replace it if is goes away.

God created the earth.
Now, think of your question... are you asking if 'science' created the earth? Or if science can explain it without including God? I think the latter.
With an open mind read and listen to a few of the articles on this website:
http://www.answersingenesis.org/
I used to be a Christian who believed my public schooling about the age of the earth and evolution. This creates conflict because the Bible and modern scientific beliefs are at odds on this subject. But after reading a lot of Ken Ham's material, I became convinced that the Biblical account of creation is accurate and then everything fell into place. Believe Genesis as a literal history of the earth makes so much of the bible make sense.
Peace to you.

science didn't create the earth.
there is no reason these concepts are mutually exclusive. God could have set in motion a set of governing principles and let things go. To me, this is more amazing than God designing each individual life form and object in the Universe.
Scientific pronciples have been proven and collected into the theory of evolution (see many other evolution questions for fact vs theory in scientific terms). However, science cannot disprove the existence of God.

In answer to the first question, when it comes to the creation of the earth, science doesn't claim to create anything. Science creates bicycles, supercomputers, and telescopes, not planets. It DISCOVERS planets, and seeks the ways in which the universe was created. Evidence has been left for us, in the form of ... well ... the universe, as to how, the universe was created, and science's job is to sift through the evidence and decide what it's trying to tell us. As far as who or what put the evidence there, well, maybe one day science can answer that one too.
The second question, do I believe in evolution, is an unqualified yes. The physical evidence is overwhelming.

God created the laws of science when he created the earth- the earth obeys the laws God set forth in creation- Science is just the observation and understanding of those laws!
