Has anybody seen The Omen? Is it any good? Should I wait for it to come out on video?

See the original. I love a good horror and suspense but this wasn't scary or suspenseful. There were a few scenes where the filmmakers throw out some stuff that makes you jump in your seat a little, but it's really just the shock of going from the slow boring stuff, to a dog jumping out of no where.

I love the original movie. This remake was for the most part poorly acted by the cast, with the exception of mia farrow and Liev Schreiber. There were also a few scenes where most of the audience was laughing and it was obvious that the director did not intend for the scene to be humorous in any way. The director was actually in attendance and i felt really bad for him.

I would never tell anyone not to go see a movie, you should see it and form your own opinion. But, don't expect too much!

i saw it. I screamed about 3 times. I would go see it in theater because if you watch it at home it won't have the same effect. I thought it was a really good movie except for the ending. I haven't seen the older version though and someone said it was exactly like it especially the ending. I went to see it the night it came out on 6-6-06. lol Hope you enjoy it! =]
