I have a Geforce2 MX/MX 400, AMD Athlon 1,20 GHz, 512 MB RAM. Also the Nvidia driver downloads don't work and screw up my outher games so then i have to system restore to before i installed the driver. (the drivers in Nvidias arcives don't work either.)
all the games worked before, and i have reformatted my computer before and all the games worked.
did Nvidia change their driver or what is going on????

Hi,

See a driver is a software which acts as an interpretter which helps the OS talk with the hardware. If you install the driver from Nvidia, the previous drivers (which might have been the ones from Microsoft Windows itself) got replaced by the Nvidia ones. It is quite possible that the driver compatilibity is the factor responsible for this weird behaviour. So, I would suggest to keep the driver as it is if all games are working well. Sometimes Microsoft drivers work better than the product manufacturer's drivers.

And, also make sure that you have the latest version of Direct X. It is available free from the Microsoft website and is very important for the Games to run scuuessfully. For more details on DirectX, visit the link http://www.microsoft.com/directx .
