Never. First of all, you never have to give so-called "baby cereal"; you could just wait until she is old enough for solids and give her actual food. Secondly, you should never give anything in a bottle other than actual liquids. It's not developmentally appropriate.

You really shouldn't give a baby formula in her bottle. (I don't know if that's what you were planning, but it sounded like it.) You should only feed cereal out of a bowl, using a spoon. My pedi said to start at 4 months, but it's really dependant on their head control. You can mix the cereal with formula or water and make it the consistancy to your babies liking. My daughter never really took to cereal, so at 5 months or so, we went ahead to baby food fruits and vegetables. Sometimes, we'd mix the babyfood with the cereal, just to use up what we had. They really say that you should start with simple cereals because they are the least likely to cause an allergic reaction. Just ask your pedi and she'll let you know what she thinks.

Never...you should never put cereal in a baby's bottle. When she's ready to eat cereal (can hold her head up, make chewing motions with her mouth), you can put some dry cereal in a bowl and mix formula with it and feed her with a spoon. Usually people start this anywhere from 4 to 6 months of age.

Honestly it is more of your preference when my nephew was born he was a big baby so the hospital started him on cereal in his formula and my new niece was just started on it about 2 months ago she is now 5 months old so use your own judgment try just a little in it at first if she enjoys add a little more the next time....We normally do this with the baby before bed it fills them and helps them sleep better ...Good luck

You mix the cereal and formula together in a bowl, not in the bottle. Some kids are ready for it earlier then others. I started mine at 4 months old.

I put cereal in my daughter's formula around 6 wks old, yes that early. I would put it in her nighttime bottle and her 1st bottle of the day. Worked like a charm for me. We didn't have to get up through the night and feed her at all.
