Ok, I don't know where the other responders got their ideas. SAP stands for Student Assistance Program. The program provides emotional support and advice/referrals to students in schools. Students can be members of the SAP team. Mostly though, it consists of teachers, principals, school nurse, and guidance counselors.

I am a teacher in the public schools. I have found the SAP program to be more of a problem than a help. It is a way for students to be excused from class so that they can go "talk to someone about their problems." Granted, many times students do need to talk about their problems, but it is not the school's place to get involved. It also takes away from valuable instructional time.

Since you posted this under "Special Education," I am assuming you mean in regards to the education of children with special needs.

SAP is used in some educational systems to refer to "Severe and Profound" students.... those so disabled that they need full-time individualized support, and are half a lifetime or more behind their same-age peers (e.g. a 10 year old whose development, emotionally and intellectually, is that of a 4-year-old).

Looking at the answers given by others above, when are these business majors from .... where.... India? UAE? going to figure out the idiom already and realize that in English, Special Education and specialized education are two different things? Sigh.

It is a very expensive Computer Program with all of the modules-Accounting, Inventory and so on. I used to work for a Company and we used it. I loved it. If you can get training on it the pay is good. Hope this helps.
