click START, TURN OFF COMPUTER, Turn off, then when ur computer is off kick it 3 times simeltaneously yelling PASSWORD PROTECT (folder name). After doing so take a glass of luke warm water and splash this over the keyboard making sure you wet all 107 keys. Then take out a hammer, prefferably a 16oz with a claw head, and smash the monitor into bite size little pieces. Now go to the store and buy a manillia folder, if you dont already have one. Then right the name of your computer onit, (folder name), and write PASSWORD PROTECTED onit. you may also write words like CONFIDENTIAL, ALARM ENABLED, and one of my favorites, ACCESS DENIED POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED. Now write your password on the back on the folder were ull never forget it! Now the last step is to pur al of those bite size little monitor pieces into your folder, make sure you use your password correctly or the police might come over. Finally POWER ON your computer and your DONE! as easy as that!...worked for me and im no idiot!

You can encrypt the entire hard drive if you want - there are plenty of programs that do that. Giving passwords to folders is weak and can be broken.

hmm...how about trying to put a password(s) to whatever data you have, that usually works for me...use random names for them so as not to give the contents away though.

you might also try searching for a program that puts passwords on your folders or something like that.

ah, here i searched for one...found the first site which took me to the second site.
