Something meaningful from your heart. Use pictures or other things around your house that have special meaning.

Make him a little coupon book (not sure how old you are, so your age will determine how you design and decorate it) but have the coupons say things like, "good for 1 free car wash" or "good for one free homemade dinner" or 'good for one free lawn mowing" etc. Also, if there's any chores he was going to do that day, (take out trash, pull weeds,, etc.) you could give him a chair to relax in with a cold drink so he can talk to you while you do those chores for him, instead. Also, you could do something parents love: Listen when they talk. Ask if he has any life advice for you, then actually listen. Parents can be pretty smart sometimes, having already been there, done that. Hope it helps!
Not sure, but BB may be a jokester; I cook a lot, and I'm pretty sure that won't work; how is milk (unsweetened, at that ) supposed to turn into caramel? Plus, I'm pretty sure if you boil a can of anything that long it would explode. If not when you are doing it, then probably when you tried to open it. I'd not try that one, personally.
Hey, Encourager; why would you never try any of the above? A lot of them are great ideas, other than the boiling one that sounds dangerous. yours are great ideas too.

I would never suggest any of the above.

The BEST gift to give your dad is your continued love and respect.

Money is very tight for most people due to the price of gas and everything going up and up and up.

My husband and I are in this position and rather than go into debt and spend money we don't have we do this.

We buy a special card at a discount paper or card store the cards are nice like Hallmark cards but less money.

We also every year write a poem for our dads or a thought piece on paper saying how we love and respect them, or we just write the card and include our writings of how we feel in the card.

Little money? Does your dad like lottery cards, a gift certificate for
his favorite store, a coupon book saying what jobs you can do for him that is fun and you can make them homemade, a frame with his favorite Bible verse or saying he likes to quote, a nice calendar, check in the dollar stores and see if there is anything he would like you can buy the bags very reasonable at a dollar store and you can spend 5-15 dollars and still get him something special.

It is not how much you give the person it is what you give the person from your heart.

Get some photographs together of you family, when you were a baby, a toddler, a card, and make a video or take some photographs of your home, of you, your mother, the rest of your family, and make a scrapbook. You don't even have to buy a book. You can use a hole punch or some notebook paper and tie the holes on the side with ribbon.

Show your dad that, even if he may not be in all the pictures, that he does so very much for you family that you sometimes may forget everything you enjoy.

You can bind the pages in cardboard or---if you have about 5 dollars, you can buy a scrapbook.

My children made one of those for their dad many years ago. They have their own children now, and they will send pictures so their dad can add those to his scrapbook. Even now my husband takes out that book and thumbs through the pages when he's wanting to feel closer to his kids that have grown and gone to make families of their own.

When I don't have the money to buy someone something, whether it be for their birthday or something like Father's Day...I buy a card and I write something really nice inside the card. Not necessarily a poem. I just bought my dad a card for Father's Day and I wrote about how much I appreciate him and all the things he does for me. Because even though I can't get him something really big and expensive...at least my words will let him know that I care and remembered him on Father's Day.

MAke a book of wishes, when your father wishes someone would cut the grass for him, or cook him his favorite meal or whatever. Maybe he gets to watch his favorite TV show and be left alone. Or you go somewhere with him that he would like, but you may not enjoy so much, but you do it to make him happy.

Put together 10 wishes, make a little book on your computer and give it to him

Make him his favorite meal. Let him have the remote control all day long. Give him a full hour back massage. Cut the grass for him and take out the trash. Wait on him all day. Tell him it's his day, and to do what ever he wants. Ask him if there is anything you can do for him.

Draw a card yourself, something I did for my mum on mothers day. Bake a cake or you yourself cook his favourate dish.
Put up your best behaviour. When he is at home after work be with him and let him feel you are his little baby daughter.
Have a lovely fathers day. Answering this Q i miss my late dad soo much.
P.S. U could also play his favourate song and dance with him.

A card and a few thought out words like a poem From the heart

Make a coupon for him for something that you will do that he hates to do. For example, the coupon could be to mow the lawn, or take the trash out for a week, or change the oil in his car. The hard part is that you need to be ready to do his chore whenever he wants to redeem the coupon.

I just made my father a card. I decorated it and I wrote the poem on the inside. It was fun and they usually appreciate the time I took to make it.
