try starting of light, like saying "popcorn" I sit down to eat a little and the whole bag is gone before I realize it. Then laugh a little and say but really... then tell a real weakens. Remember to word it right. If your weakness is doing all the work that should be done by a group don't say " I let people walk all over me" Say " I tend to take the bulk of responsibilities of a group, instead of dispersing it evenly" No matter what you weakness is chose your word carefully

Turn the negative connotation of the question to a positive one during the answer. Example: "A weakness I have is to stay late until all of my tasks are completed or are in order to complete the next day" or " I tend to ask for the order/PO too quickly" or "My weaknesses tend to lie in the area of over attention to detail".

Dont exagerate, but you can turn it into something like:
"I work too much sometimes"
"I forget about team work because I want things to be perfect, so many times I end up doing things myself"
Or just be honest and show disposition for change:
"I have been working on improving my customer service skills"
"I need to be more organized, and as I get better at it , I realize how much easier it is to get things done"
If you mention a weakness, make sure you mention what you`re doing to overcome it!
Thats what I think, hope it helps!

say something along the lines of,
Everyone has weaknesses but i am hoping that with constructive critasisum and team help i will be able to strengthen any weaknesses that come to light and also help other people within the team i might be working with to overcome any weaknesses they may have so we function better as a whole and are more productive for your office.

Many people use perfectionism as an answer for this question because it can also mean a positive. But, it is kind of overdone. Also, people sometimes mention public speaking..since it is a common problem for most people so it is more accepted. I tend to use...I get involved with too many projects..and I need to prioritize more...use something you can highlight as a strength too.

The best advice I ever got in regards to this specific question was: Offer what is commonly observed as a strength and call it your weakness.
For example:
-One of my weaknesses is that I find myself getting a little too caught up in helping others.
-I find myself overly competitive at times.

To elaborate more on what someone else said, tell them your weakness is that when you're not busy you get lazy - but you know this, so you always ask for more work or find something else to do when you are finished.

Pick something difficult that you probably won't be asked to do on the job in question. Express an interest in learning and tell them something that's your strong point.
EG:If your a mechanic you could say something like "I can't rebuild an automatic transmission but I'm a whiz at wiring. I would like to learn transmissions though"

Don't lie!! Everyone has weakness! Just say the truth, but say something like, "I am working on doing better..." tell the truth but also reassure that they will not make you a bad employee!
