You would be hard pressed to find someone who hates the US. They may hate how the current government is working. I'm reminded of a quote (I don't remember who said it, if someone could help me out on this I would be grateful) that said, "Republicans love America like a 4 year old loves his mother, that is that America can do no wrong. Democrats love America like a mother loves her 4 year old, knowing the potential that her child has but that the child must be watched, trained and raised to reach that potential." Meaning if the country is headed in the wrong direction (as many believe that it is) we must do what is necessary to restore it to the right direction. So we don't hate the US, just that actions that are being taken to send America down the wrong path is what we want changed.

First off, most of the people that I have heard of who hate the U.S., don't live in the U.S. Also, even if Americans hate the U.S., the reason why they live here is because we're a free country. You can't find that anywhere else.

Whatever you do don't confuse people criticizing our nation's leaders and the crappy job they're doing with hating the country. That seems to be a common practice with republicans.

I have often wondered myself..actress Gwyenth Paltrow once denoucned the U.S. and so has that raunchy singer Madonna...yet they live and work here....because this is where the BIG $$ bucks are...thats why

as much as i love my country, i like the fact to be able to critic some stuff....
but i agree "hate" is a big word.
