Yes by one or 2 degrees.
If you keep the lights on in the room with the thermostat it can affect the temp in the entire house by creating an artifcially higher temp in that room thus preventing the furnace or A/C from running.

The surface temperature of a ~60 watt incandecent bulb can approach 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on how many bulbs and the size of the room, this can make a significant difference.
Use light dimmers where possible. Also, use flourescent bulbs when possible.

yes and if you are looking to save on the energy bill, keep your blinds closed during the day, wehn you leave for work or school, turn the thermostat up about 10 degrees and then turn it back down when you get home. Unless you have a digital stat you can set, them program it to turn on about 30 minutes before you expect to be home. Any empty rooms you have TVS DVDs VCRs clocks and such in, unplug them too, even though you arent using the room, they still use power just by being plugged in... they are on standby - .... I learned this and started to follow the suggestions and cut my bill almost in 1/2... I turn my tv off when I go to bed and when I leave in the morning.... there are lots of ways.

It can. It depends on your lightbulbs.
You realize the old "Easy Bake Oven" used to do all it's cooking with just a standard light bulb. Those new lights that are a twisty-tube do not put out nearly as much heat as the standard screw-in bulb.
You might look at replaing some of your bulbs with those. They cost more, but wow, what a difference.

Depends on the kind of lights. Spotlitghts get very hot and will heat up the room. It could also be a phychological thing where you think you're cooler in a darker room.

Yes! A 60 watt incandescent bulb gives off about as much heat as a person.

Yes, if it's regular electric lights. That's what bakes the cake in the easy bake oven, a 75 watt light bulb.

If you had a lot of high wattage bulbs, you could make the room a little warmer. If you have a little lamp in the corner, and it's 30 degrees in there, turning the lamp off will make it 29.99999 degrees.

yes, and it also keeps the electric bill down too. But the computer makes the most heat, so turn it off when you are not using it, and with electric prices going up....
