In no way should Roger Waters ever be ashamed of The Wall. Today people now consider it to be one of the greatest albums in Pink Floyd history due to such songs as "Comfortably Numb", "Another Brick in the Wall" which symbolizes what every kid in the world is thinking inside, or "Is anybody out there". All these songs put together made a great album in my opinion. This is why he should not be ashamed of The Wall.

Yes, it could be self-serving because it is a semi-autobigrophy. Waters was born during WWII and his father was killed in the war. It dealt with Waters life; the struggles of stardom and WWII; and how one character dealt with it. And where is the teenage explotation. This album is a complete circle and one of the main joys of it is you can start listening to it from any part of the album and still get a full story. The last words spoken are "Isn't this where..." The first words spoken are "...we started?"

Now, doing Dark Side Of The Moon is another story, due to the fact David Gilmore did the vocals on the album, and that they can't get back together.

Buy my favorite by floyd is Animals - which is a retelling of Animal Farm.

No, he should not be ashamed. No, it can't possibly be "the most self-serving exercise in teenage exploitation ever". Gangster rap wins that title hands down, with American Idol coming in at a close second.

That album is almost 35 years old! Political correctness was not known. I recall a restaruant chain when I was a kid, called Little Black Sambo's. Now how's that for offensive in this day? Yet 40 years ago, nobody thought anything of it.

For what exactly are you asking if he should be ashamed of? Are you referring to the music itself or the movie made for the music? Are you talking about a specific part or as a whole?
