Connected at 46.6kbps--just wondering if I have the world's slowest connection--thanks--

LOL!! i live in Louisiana and where im located ,,..all they offer right now is dial up! Guess u can say im in the boonies..! But i do know how to get the max tweak out of it and its alot better then before!!!

Yes. I live six miles outside of a city. The cable company isn't out that far, there is no wireless provider in the area, too far from central phone office for DSL and I'm not about to pay the premium on satellite which is no good for any on line gaming. 46.6 kbps is about what you can expect from a good phone line.

no i have a connection thrugh dial up that i don t use that conects at a slowest speed of 28.8kps

I switched back in December to wireless internet via the cable - never looked back since. Even killed the home phone (use cell) so got a nice cost savings to boot.

yes u r the slowest
my grandfather was using Dial-Up Connection when he was young. when, my dad was born, grandpa switched to broadband. I have a 1TB line hitting my comp././.

I have a 56K dial-up connection. 46.6K is not the slowest dial-up connection, 28.8K is.

I sure do pity you.

6000K down cable has me spoiled. I couldn't go back to dial up.

46.6 is normal for dial-up. You'll never get 56K. Which totally sucks and I have no idea how you deal with it.
