No. The more tattoos the better. It is a wonderful way to express your individuality. some say, "You are going to reget that when you are 80." I say that I am not. I will have a reminder of my youth and who was a pert of it. what I believed in and where I have been. Hopefully, when I'm 80, I will still have an urge for more ink.

It's amazing how much society's views on tattoos have changed over the last 10 years or so. It used to be only bikers, crazy rocker-types, sailors and ruffians had tattoos. Now, all kinds of people have them, the most surprising is how many middle-class, educated people now sport tattoos. Clearly, it's become a fad.
Perhaps this is my bougeois upbringing, but I still think they're kinda trashy! Also, as you age, they really start to look crappy!

Too mainstream?

Who doesn't have one between the age of 20-30? I don't know where you are from, but I would say 1 in 10 people where I live don't have one or are not considering getting one.

It's gotten to a point where I consider you unique if you don't drink, smoke, have a tat, or a child.

Yes they are! I have tattoos, and I used to be consider crazy and someone who could stand the pain for long hours. Now everyone has some, and I feel like I have to get sleeved, just to stand out. I want to be the bad boy, but now all these little kids are doing it.

True story: I was talking to a guy that just got back from a missions trip for a church. He was telling me about his tattoos, and he had more then I do, and he is this little skinny kid. I wanted to have mine removed after talking to him.

I'm not sure there but I have four. I think that everyone is getting tattoos because everyone does so they want to be cool. The reason I got mine though is because I am truly passionate about tattoos.

A lot of tattoos of certain styles and locations are very popular. (I know of a parlor that won't do tribal bands). However, original tattoos still set people apart from those who get tattoos out of a book.

Yep. Just like Harleys, which used to be the bike of choice for rebels, tattoos are now becoming commonplace.

I personally don't like them, but I don't know that this is a bad thing. But people who want them just to be different are out of luck!

It used to be that people that liked tattoos were different and unique, now it seems that you're unique if you DON'T have any!

Tattoos can be beautiful & meaningful, but some people seem to be getting them to fit in.

Who cares? Mainstream, underground, taboo, whatever. Get a tattoo if you want it, not because its cool to, or because you want to label yourself an "outcast". If thats your reason for getting a tatt, youll just hate it in 5 years anyway.

My body is my canvas. Not because I want to fit in or stand out, but because thats what I decided it to be.

I love tattoos. I just don't like it when people get the same thing as everyone else, just because it's the in thing.
