Tie: "Horror of Dracula" (1958) / "Brides of Dracula" (1960).
Two Hammer Films classics, both starring the great Peter Cushing as the best Van Helsing of them all. "Horror" stars Christopher Lee as Dracula, and boasts a great final confrontation between Van Helsing and the Count. "Brides" doesn't actually have a Dracula--the vampire is Baron Meinster (David Peel), an acceptable substitute--and has the most ingenious means of dispatching a vampire in any horror movie.
Both flicks are directed by Terence Fisher, one of the great horror directors, and have gorgeous Technicolour cinematography. And they've available on DVD too.

There's a pretty good movie from the late Eighties - early Nineties called "Innocent Blood" about a vampire who only preys on mobsters. One of her victims is a big mob boss who doesn't die and becomes a vampire and she has to track him down and kill him. Not great art, but it was fun and an interesting take on the whole vampire genre.

Fright Night is the best classic vampire movie. It has everything you ever wanted in a vampire movie.
Blade, the original, is the action/comic book vampire movie. Once again, it has it all. The opening sequence has to be one of the best action sequences ever in any genre.

That would have to be Blade 1, #3 sucked so bad Dracula was a wussy. In the first one Steven Dorff was harder to kill than that Dracula-lame!! I also liked the John Carpenters Vampires movie!!!

Growing up, Lost Boys was my absolute favorite (it had both Coreys, after all). Now, though, I can't think of one that I really love. I'm anxious to see I Am Legend, as that's going to be a new take on vampires.
