I've been in my career for over 20 years, and I really enjoy working in the field that I do...
That said, --- I would quit my job so fast it would make their heads spin!...
I have so many other interests and hobbies that boredom would never be a problem...
To keep a job under such circumstances is something that I can only see as bordering on utter lunacy!

I would rather be first sure that I won and when they give me the money and I deposited on my bank account then I will quit, sometimes those lottery places make mistakes telling you that u won and a second later they can be like sorry sir it was a mistake, or if they give you money you could get mob so if you quit at the instant nothing is left for you , so I'll wait like a week so I can be sure my money is safe ... besides I would like to see the face of my coworkers if they see me pulling in the office on a lambo/Murcielago or Diablo and thing that i get a raise, and just be being lazy at work an irritating the boss, break the rules and finally tell them , I'M TIRED OF YOU BULL $HIT...I QUIT...LOL, Now that will be funny

I would not immediately quit.. I would give them an opportunity to find someone to replace me.
I work with mentally and physically disabled adults, I plan, promote and coordinate activities that are vital to them. Also working as an admin asst for the program director, and being federally funded.. I couldnt just leave.. I love my job and believe that we provide a lasting service that is valued to the individuals.
and beside knowing that I made a difference in someones life for that day... provides and awesome feeling of accomplishment.
So.. NO.. I wouldn't just up and quit

People like to feel useful. Many people say that if they won a million dollars, they would quit their job. What would you do? You would go on vacation, relax, buy stuff, and party. However, you wouldn't feel useful. If a person doesn't feel useful, he/she becomes less happy (as supported in many scientific research articles). That's why lottery-winners often are unhappy; they don't feel like they contribute to society anymore. Perhaps you would quit your job, but you would probably volunteer or do something else in a field you enjoy to pass the time and feel useful.

I can honestly say that if I won a $300 million mega millions, I would still keep my job. I don't make a lot of money now, but I do enjoy what I do. I know me. I would feel bored and I would just need something to do.
Consider this. Even you if you do have all that money, your worries move from how am I going to pay my bills to how am I going to keep all this money.

I wouldn't. After taxes it wouldn't be 1 million anymore and depending on how you live, it may not be enough to sustain you the rest of your life. No, I would keep working and invest my money. Try to make more off of what I have. But if your job is that bad, maybe you could use it to go to school and earn a degree to get a job that you would enjoy more or start your own business. :)

I wouldn't. I love what I do, I help people and make a difference with my work.
I would donate half of the money to charity and then use the rest for my family and friends. I'd use the money positively, not just sit back and be lazy.

Think of it a different way...if you stayed at work, basking in your new found wealth...you could go in with no pressure, no fear if you did loose your job. Do what you want, when you want. It's a small way of sticking back to the man - then you'd get bored and quit, if you weren't fired beforehand.

I am a counselor, and I would never quit doing private practice if I won as little an amount as a few million.

I wouldn't. I work for a really good friend and that wouldn't be very nice. In fact, I'd stay on and invest in the company so eventually neither one of us would really have to work.
