It looks like that u still cannot get ur ex-friend out of ur system. Were u really great friends? It seems at the back of ur mind u miss him. If it was a small misunderstanding it would be good to mend things up & give it one more shot. A good friend is always better than a bad ego.

This could mean that deep down you really do like him. A lot of the time, people will find that the people they really dislike are the people they envy or the people they want to be with. Give him a chance and mayeb you will find that you don't hate him. Good luck and best wishes!

It is pretty common, actually. I think your subconcious just recants the things you once liked/ loved about the guy and forgets the bad stuff. I don't think it has a real meaning, unless maybe there are unresolved issues between you.
