China seems to be moving up fast.

Although China is moving up, they are going to eventually run out of people. If you stop allowing people to have children and are killing off children (not to mention Chinese death rooms) the population is going to wan. I do not think the US will ever become a third world country, though it is third-world like in some areas that are not taken care of because of the amount of televised issues in our country. Something gets big enough, it goes on air. I don't think that a super power like the US will ever become so poor as to have the ranking "third world." We are all one world, all citizens of the world. Why can we not all be on the same level?

No,but bad decisions in recent years has weakened the U.S.
politically,militarily and economically. The days of being the
World Superpower are coming to an end,and like you said China
is moving up fast. The Chinese may very well replace Americans
as the dominant power.

i don't believe you will ever see the us become a third world country, when you think 3rd world country, you think about places where there is a problem obtaining fresh clean drinking water, where sanitation is a problem...open sewera and the like, where medical care is hard to come by...etc, i think we'll always be sagfe from that barring some kind of natural disaster

No, I do not think we will. Even though we act like we are every once in a while. We have plenty of resources to survive. China is trying to compete with US, they'll be in a pickle in a few years and experience what we do here in the US.

I think so, and I think the fall will be a brutal one.We've made some nasty enemies, esp. the russians by bombing their "little brothers" the Serbs. I'd be in shock to find out Putin isn't personally plotting what will be horrendous revenge.

not anytime soon. just because China's moving up doesn't mean the U.S. will be relegated to 3rd world.
If some states would decide to break away from the US, they might beceom 3rd world
