Berkshires are a good breed - a lot of them are being crossbred and exported to Japan.
The MO state fair is having show classes for Berks - see http://www.mostatefair.com/PremiumGuide/swine.pdf - those who show more than likely have pigs at home that didn't make the grade for showing that would be for sale. The IL state fair also has Berk classes. Either place, if you're not in a hurry, would be a good place to talk to several breeders in one location and see their representative pigs. You get to "comparison shop" without going around the state. Of course if you're not going to show you won't need show pigs - their lesser showable siblings would be fine.
